Happy Friday the 13th

According to lore, Friday the 13th is a very bad day. Here are three stories that show the 13th is not that bad:

  1. Founded in 1882, the 13th Club was created to disprove any negative connotations of the date. Male members met on the 13th day of every month, on the 13th hour, to dine with 13 members per table.
  2. During the 1930s-40s, residents in French Lick, Indiana had to affix bells around the necks of black cats.
  3. Heavy metal music was born on Friday, February 13th, 1970 when Black Sabbath released their self-titled album.
