May Brought THREE Bigfoot Sightings to Georgia
Cherry Log, Georgia is home to the self-professed “World’s Largest Bigfoot Museum.” The museum’s official name is Expedition: Bigfoot, The Sasquatch Museum. Totaling 4,500 square feet, the museum also claims to be “North Georgia’s Biggest Family Attraction.” During the month of May, the museum’s owner Dave Bakara received three separate reports of sightings in North Georgia.
On Monday, May 20, Edward Lee spotted a 7-8-foot hairy bipedal creature walking along Highway 515. Lee noted the creature’s pointed head. Lee thought better of exiting his truck. Sadly, he did not take any pictures.
After Bakara posted the sighting on the museum’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pg/1EXPEDITIONBIGFOOT/posts/?ref=page_internal), a second man claimed that on May 27th he saw a black/gray creature attempting to fish for trout in a nearby “branch” or small creek. This witness did exit his vehicle; however, he, too, did not take any pictures.
On May 31, Bakara posted that a woman reported that her aunt saw “a huge hairy ape” crossing a road in Georgetown, Georgia. This creature is probably not the same Blue Ridge creature since Georgetown is nearly 250 miles south of Blue Ridge. It’s also worth noting that the aunt described the creature as having reddish brown hair. As with the others, the aunt did not take any photographs.
While Bigfoot sightings in Georgia are rare, there are some. According to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO), https://www.bfro.net/GDB/#usa, as of 2017 there were 132 sightings in Georgia. At least 8 other states rank higher in sightings. These three latest sightings are not reflected in the BFRO numbers.
According to the “Chapman University Survey of American Fears Wave 5 2018 Paranormal Study,” 21% of Americans believe Bigfoot creatures exist. The percentage is increasing. With more people out searching or stumbling upon these creatures, surely they will take charged cellphones to take pictures.
