Branch Davidian David Koresh’s ’68 Chevrolet Camaro SS For Sale

Ghost Adventures’ Zak Bagans purchased the car in 2018 for $61,995. He housed it in his Zak Bagans’ The Haunted Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada. Seeking to rotate his collection of oddities, he has offered up the car for sale. No, it’s not haunted.

David Koresh was the head Branch Davidian zealot who battled the FBI and ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms) in a 51-day standoff in 1993 in Waco, Texas. On April 19th, the government initiated a raid resulting in 4 ATF deaths and 79 Branch Davidians. Of the 79, 25 were children. Only nine members of the cult survived.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram called the Camaro “Armageddon’s Relic.” It was “very close to [Koresh’s] heart.” It has been theorized that Koresh intended it to be his getaway car. He had the V8 engine block engraved with “DAVIDES 427 GO GOD.” The etching was moved in a prior sale but has reportedly been restored. The car was trashed during the raid but has been resurrected into a classic—sans the evil (but not haunted) provenance.

The car’s VIN (vehicle identification number) is 124378L302009 and comes with a Texas car title showing Koresh’s ownership. Previously sold as-is in 2004 for $37,000 to Donald Feldpausch, the car was restored “as an investment.”

If interested, contact Vegas Auto Gallery for more information, https://www.vegasautogallery.com/used-vehicle-1968-chevrolet-camaro-ss-427-coupe-c-2201/. Again, it’s not haunted.

Annabelle Did Not Escape

The Internet lit up this week with a story claiming that Annabelle, the infamous conduit of evil rag doll, escaped the Warren Occult Museum. Rest assured; she is safely tucked in her locked cabinet.

The cause of the viral news story is linked to an error in translation. Actress Annabelle Wallis, who starred in the 2014 Annabelle, was interviewed where she discussed how actor Tom Cruise permitted her to jog with him while they were filming The Mummy (2017). The unfortunate confusion centered on the actress’ name and the rag doll’s name. Chinese social media sites misinterpreted the actress running with Cruise and innocently mistranslated the content. However, the Internet was not having it.

As the world continues to battle COVID-19, many posted that Annabelle the doll escaping was the final straw summing up the year.

To be clear, the real Raggedy Ann doll Annabelle is packed with the other items from the Warren Occult Museum, formerly located in Monroe, Connecticut. The museum closed in 2018, with media outlets reporting there were zoning violations. Lorraine Warren died on April 18, 2019 at the age of 92; Ed Warren died on August 23, 2006 at the age of 79. Their estate has since passed to their only child, Judy, whose husband Tony Spera manages. No word on whether or not the Warrens’ collectibles will appear in a permanent location; however, the new controversy is the online war of words between Tony and Zak Bagans, lead host on Ghost Adventures.

Infamous LaBianca House Under Contract

Ghost Adventures’ front man Zak Bagans has placed a contract on the infamous LaBianca House, located in Los Feliz, California. Bagans offered close to the $1.98 million dollar asking price. The 2 bedroom/1 ½ bath house was made famous in 1969 when members of the Manson Family slaughtered the then owners.

The Spanish-style home was built in 1920. In 1940, Antonio LaBianca purchased the home and raised his family there. After his death, his son, Leno (a grocery store owner), purchased the home in 1968. Leno and his 2nd wife, Rosemary, moved into the home. However, they never felt comfortable living there. The home was broken into several times prior to their murder.

On August 10, 1969, Leno and Rosemary were stabbed to death under the direct instructions from Charles Manson, who entered the home and supervised the couple’s restraints. Manson sent in other family members to carry out the vicious murder. All responsible received commuted life sentences.

The 1,655 square foot home is a favorite stop for thrill seekers and dark tourism fans. The original address of 3301 Waverly Drive was later changed to 3311 Waverly Drive. The footprint of the home remains today with little being changed. Last sold in 1998, the home was on the market for three weeks. Bagans is expected to close on the sale within the month.

Ghost Adventures Nick Groff

Nick Groff Exits Ghost Adventures

Twitter exploded when the Travel Channel posted a “good-bye” tweet thanking Ghost Adventures (GAC) co-founder Nick Groff. Nick quickly sent out a follow-up tweet reaffirming the news that he had in fact left the insanely popular GAC show. As a true professional, Nick remained positive and respectful. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the other co-founder Zak Bagans.

Change is inevitable. Change moves at light speed in the reality television realm. Every TV show has a natural lifespan. And they differ. But in the end, all TV shows end. Realizing this, a savvy TV celebrity recreates and rebrands himself to remain relevant. Madonna comes to mind. She’s a pro at it. Zak Bagans did it by developing Ghost Adventures: Aftershocks, where he profiles some of the GAC’s more exciting investigations. Now it’s Nick’s turn.

Nick’s brainchild is Ghost Stalkers (GS), starring John E.L. Tenney and Chad Lindberg. John, the seasoned researcher, and Chad, the para-newbie, travel the U.S. in a Coachmen RV and investigate low-media profiled locations. Paranormal inventor David Rountree creates new instruments to assist in the investigations. Investigations cover 2 days with each taking a turn locked inside. John and Chad are incredibly likeable and sincere. GS has breathed a breath of fresh air into the paranormal reality TV biz. Last week GS ended its freshman season consisting of 6 episodes. Fans await news of a second season. Hint, hint Destination America.

The paranormal community took to twitter for comments from all affected. The GS base posted highly favorable comments and kept it positive. The GAC side was silent. Crickets could be heard from the lack of interest from Mr. Baggans, who focused on himself and the new season starting in January. Pressed for any comment, Mr. Bagans said:

  1. many of you have been asking…Nick is no longer with Ghost Adventures. Right now Im focused on the new season premiering Jan 10th 2015
  2. I’d also like to make an announcement……
  3. I’m pleased to announce that season 10 returns January 10th with the most-anticipated episode ever… the BELL WITCH CAVE #GhostAdventures
  4. and not to mention the next episode after BELL WITCH CAVE is the SALLIE HOUSE …oh yes, get ready!!!!

Well, this was disappointing…not unexpected…but very disappointing. Similar to the supposed rift between Jason Hawes and Amy Bruni from Ghost Hunters, this intentional diss from Bagans is abysmal to the paranormal community. Viewers do not care about the contractual obligations of paranormal reality TV people. Dishing on dirty laundry, however, diminishes the hard work others, TV and non-TV people alike, put into the field.

In short: Man up, Zak, and thank your “friend” and wish him well. Acknowledge his leaving in a professional manner. Set an example to your fans who follow ALL of you.

Update: Approximately 4 hours after the announcement and 15 minutes after posting this article, Mr. Bagans posted: I do wish Nick the best w his future while I continue to deliver GAC fans what they want. #GhostAdventures.

Just released, Travel Channel tweets that Nick Groff is leaving Ghost Adventures. TC wished Nick the best of luck. Nick tweeted that the post is correct.

Here’s hoping that Nick will fill his time with new episodes of Ghost Stalkers. Ghost Stalkers ended its freshman 6 episode season last week. No word on whether the highly popular show starring John E.L. Tenney and Chad Lindberg will return.
