The Waverly Hills Historical Society thanked the Louisville Metro Police. On January 26, the Louisville Metro Police responded to an unusual call. Someone reported that an actual corpse was being used in the Waverly Hills Sanatorium displays. The police went out to see what was going on. Upon arrival, the police were assured by the people who run Waverly Hills that all of the props were just that: props. Not one dead body was found!

The police got a tour and a chance to chat up the folks before heading back out on patrol. The Waverly Hills Sanatorium Facebook page posted a sincere thanks, which piqued everyone’s interest. Here is what they posted:
I find this unusual since Waverly is going through such an ownership crisis right now. Allegedly the rightful owners are being removed by the Board members and ‘other plans’ are in store for Waverly. The place has been in the para news lately about all the fighting and attempted fundraising to save it. It wasn’t clear if there were still investigations there or who might be hosting them.
Totally agree. I’m trying not to write about the drama behind the scenes. Private investors bought into the property. I’m thinking (without knowing for sure), that they might hold a controlling interest and can make all of these changes. The Waverly Hills Historical Society are the ones running it. Yes, there are investigations. In fact, they had to cancel because of bad weather.
